Press Release "ZOW and FIDexpo exhibitions to co-locate with the Forum"

20-23 April 2015 VDNH in Moscow will host a full array of events with the support of AMEDORO: Russian Furniture and Woodworking Forum, the 12th International Exhibition of Components and Accessories ZOW, the 2nd FIDexpo international furniture b2b exhibition and the 2nd exhibition for technology, equipment and tools for furniture and woodworking industry TEKHNODREV Furniture. 

Forum is a new congress event aimed to serve as a concentrated communication platform for furniture professionals and representatives of related sectors. The most prominent event within the Forum will be the Partneriat of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises. The delegates will address the issues of international cooperation and the Customs Union Technical Regulations. Presentations of business initiatives, meetings with top managers of enterprises and heads of associations will be held within the days dedicated to the furniture industry of Russia, Republic of Belarus, Turkey and China.

The Forum will feature round table discussions on crisis management, innovations, import substitution, analysis of wood board production and its potential, tips for starting new enterprise for small businesses and much more. The organisers will also run a series of workshops: “Practical advice on communication with consumers”, “Furniture store. How to increase its efficiency” and “Online stores as a step to the future”. In addition, the experts and delegates will discuss the aspects of trade under declining consumer demand and where to find new sales markets. Within discussion regarding new sales markets, developers will present their new product in the real estate market – fully furnished apartments.

ZOW Moscow will uncover trends and innovations in production of fittings, materials and components for furniture industry, serve to conclude supply contracts with leading furniture factories and negotiate on integration of innovative products into autumn furniture collections.

FIDexpo trade show will demonstrate new furniture collections of various design and cost from Russian and CU manufacturers and encompass national expositions of Eurasian countries. Special zones will be arranged at the venue: ‘Functionality and Ergonomics’, ‘Services for the Furniture Business’ and other. The trade show will coincide with TEKHNODREV Furniture serving to showcase the latest technologies and equipment for furniture industry.

In 2014 this complex of furniture events hosted more than 300 companies from Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, China, Poland, Russia, Thailand, Taiwan, Turkey and Czech Republic. According to the survey, 87% of exhibitors established new customer database and 57% found new distributors. 12,500 trade visitors attended ZOW, FIDexpo and TEKHNODREV Furniture.

The visitors are invited to the shows according to exhibitor profile and exhibitors’ choice. This year it is planned to organise trade missions not only from far regions of Russia, but also from the Eurasian Economic Union.

A special emphasis at the shows will be given to communication among visitors and exhibitors. The business programme events will be optimised thanks to the Matchmaking service. This service will allow arranging meetings with potential partners in advance, agreeing upon the agenda of meetings, personilising event schedule. In 2014 over 2000 meetings were appointed and held thanks to the Matchmaking, featuring negotiations between visitors and exhibitors and meetings between visitors of the show.

Co-location of the Forum, ZOW and FIDexpo and TEKHNODREV Furniture will allow exhibitors, delegates and visitors taking a good look around the furniture sector, discussing the future plans, building and enhancing cooperation.
