The premiere FIDexpo international furniture b2b exhibition was held May 12-15, 2014 in Moscow`s All-Russian Exhibition Centre, Pavilion 75.
The high relevance of FIDexpo is proved by participation of the Association of furniture and woodworking enterprises of Russia (AMEDORO) as the general partner of the project. The following top Russian furniture enterprises, companies-members of the AMEDORO exhibited under a common brand Made in Russia: Dyatkovo, First Furniture Factory, Romarty, Ulyanovsk Furniture Factory, and others.
A range of negotiations on furniture industry development strategies and international cooperation was held in the framework of the exhibition at the highest level. In the framework of FIDexpo a memorandum on cooperation between Association of furniture and woodworking enterprises of Russia and China National Furniture Association (CNFA) was signed.
Thanks to execution of FIDexpo in May the exhibitors were able to showcase their latest furniture collections in advance of the furniture sales high season in Russia. First Furniture Factory demonstrated its new collections for kitchens, lobbies, office and HoReCa segment. The Ulyanovsk furniture factory booth featured furniture for bedrooms and living rooms made of eco-materials and various textures: enamel, veneer, furniture film. BIOarte presented over 100 models of innovative eco-friendly pillows, Avrora showcased upholstered furniture collection and Elf Furniture Factory exhibited with one-of-a-kind bedroom sets of ‘Neoklassika’ product line.
The exhibition interactive business programme served to enhance professional skills of all interested specialists. The course of workshops ‘School of furniture business’ gathered the largest audience and highlighted the issues of furniture design, most popular product range, furniture internet-marketing, customer traffic management in shopping centres, efficient retail trade and many other issues.
The conference on store design and various decorative features serving to attract customers engaged decorators and designers. A well-known design critic, co-organiser of interior design school Olga Kosyreva was the Conference moderator. She also gave a lecture on present-day object design together with an industrial designer, design consultant and founder of Designet.ru portal Vladimir Samoilov.
‘5 basic steps to increase retail sales’ workshop highlighted key aspects of sales technology development and presented a well-defined model for retail business development. Workshops on such issues as strategic business planning, furniture quality inspection and MES-Centre workshop ‘Furniture and accessories production management’ were also held as part of the business programme.
The 11th international exhibition of furniture components and accessories ZOW, held jointly with FIDexpo, gathered 200+ Russian and international suppliers, such as Duslar, Grass, Hranipex, KESSEBÖHMER, MAKMART, Samet, Vauth-Sagel, Akrilika, Valmaks, Sidak-SP, PG Soyuz, Slotex and others. The exhibitions were also co-located with TEKHNODREV Furniture trade show which took place at Pavilion 75 of the All-Russian Exhibition Centre, and encompassed equipment and technologies for furniture and woodworking industry.
12 500 trade visitors attended FIDexpo, ZOW and TEKHNODREV Furniture exhibitions. FIDexpo was attended by owners and heads of trade networks, retail stores, furniture centres, wholesale trade centres, HoReCa buyers, heads of supply and purchasing departments and individual entrepreneurs. Special buyer programme offered various bonuses to its participants and ensured attraction of target audience to the trade show.
The Business Matchmaking allowed exhibitors and visitors finding companies for negotiations, appointing meetings beforehand and successfully holding them. The managers of the special buyer department introduced them to companies’ representatives at the stands they were interested in and provided some interpretation services.
The Business Matchmaking was also used by the delegates of the 6th All-Russian Furniture Summit which was held May 13-15 at conference halls of Pavilion 75 of the All-Russian Exhibition Centre and traditionally became the main meeting point for owners and directors of enterprises and trade companies. This year the following issues were on the agenda of the business programme: development trends of Russian and international furniture market, latest trade formats and technologies, innovative approaches to management and enhancement of sales markets, brand new materials and fittings, design tendencies and much more.
The 2nd edition of FIDexpo furniture b2b exhibition will be held in May 2015 at Pavilion 75 of the All-Russian Exhibition Centre.
