The RESTEC® Exhibition Company has formed a strategic partnership with UBM Asia – Asia's premier exhibitions operator and the organiser of the shows Furniture China in Shanghai, MIFF in Kuala-Lumpur, Index in Mumbai, and Interiors and Decorex in London. The joint partnership will be effective from 2014 with the launch of FIDEXPO - the brand new international furniture exhibition.
The show will have its debut on 12-15 May in Moscow, in Pavilion 75 of the All-Russian Exhibition Centre (VVC), designed to modern exhibition specifications and opened in 2008.
The FIDEXPO event will showcase an entire range of furniture products from Asian and European manufacturers, in the average and upper price ranges. The show will therefore, complement a series of Russian furniture fairs with an Italian and German theme - i Saloni WorldWide Moscow and Rooms Moscow – with companies from the rapidly expanding international furniture cluster groups that feature in the 5,000-strong exhibitor pool from UBM Asia. The FIDEXPO show will also be of interest to Russian manufacturers, producing or selling furniture in those same market sectors or segments as their direct competitors from Asia.
Visitors to the show will include major furniture distributors, retail companies, retailers, design studios, government organisations and industry associations. A major advertising campaign and the business contacts exchange, or matchmaking service – a free service for the scheduling of business meetings – will generate a high buyer potential and effective business contacts.
ZOW 2014, the international exhibitions for components and accessories to the furniture industry, organised by the RESTEC® Exhibition Company, in partnership with Clarion Events Deutschland (Germany), previously held in November, will now run alongside the FIDEXPO show. Moving the ZOW show's slot to May will bring together all the major suppliers of furniture, its components and accessories, at an ideal time from the perspective of the furniture manufacturing cycle. The ZOW show's unique 'all inclusive' exhibition concept will still be a feature of the event.
ZOW and FIDEXPO will represent the largest business space for holding effective talks and meetings for furniture industry professionals. Synergising the staging of both events will generate further opportunities for co-operation between manufacturers and suppliers in the furniture industry.
